authentic accommodation in gallipoli

The bed & breakfast is located in the heart of the Gallipoli National Park, tucked away in the small village of Kocadere. This privileged location makes the Gallipoli Houses an ideal base to explore the Gallipoli battlefields.

To preserve the harmony with this small farming community, there are eight rooms only and much attention was given to the overall design to blend in with the surroundings. A special effort was made to create an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity. To maintain this atmosphere we can only accept children of minimum ten years of age.

The rooms, designed with modesty yet fitted-out with everything necessary for a comfortable stay, are en-suite (walk-in shower) and feature a reverse cycle air conditioner, a hairdryer, slippers and a hospitality tray with coffee, tea and water. We also have adapters (Australia and UK) and plug-in insect repellent available upon request. To maintain a tranquil environment, you will not find TV's and phones in the guest rooms but free of charge Wi-Fi covers all public areas and guest-rooms.

Breakfast (08h00-10h00) is of the sort that one saves for a beloved friend on a Sunday morning and can be hearty or healthy: fruit juices, cereals, fried eggs, fresh bread, home-made jams and spreads, cheeses and cold cuts, fresh seasonal fruit and freshly-brewed coffee or tea.

The Gallipoli Houses are located in a small authentic farming community which has neither restaurants nor shops; the coffee house being the only ”hub”.  The nearby town of Eceabat (8 km) and the provincial capital of Çanakkale (8 km + 20 minutes ferry ride) offer a good range of meal options.

The Gallipoli Houses offers a a good range of alcoholic beverages (17h00-22h00) and –if given prior notice- we can prepare a snack or light meal (18h00 to 20h00) for those who don’t want to go out. For parties of 10 guests or more we can provide more elaborate evening meals.

We do not serve lunch but we will be happy to give you some advice on local restaurants and eateries where you could go for lunch. Alternatively a "knapsack" can be prepared from the breakfast table.

To further emphasise this atmosphere of privacy, meals and drinks are served to residents only.

Smoking is not allowed in the rooms or any of the indoor areas.
